Once we decided to dive in and begin the adoption process, despite our busy and hectic summer, we began with the traditional garage sale to help cover the application fee of $550. Our good friend and Robyn's mentor, Shirley Pitts and her husband invited us to bring our things to their neighborhood garage sale in hope that we would score some deals. Our sister in law, Kim, even joined in on the experience and as you can tell by the pictures, Robyn tried to capture the day so that we could one day look back on our "genesis."
